About Dart and Marlin
The Dart and Marlin is an institution. It has completely reinvigorated the Warrnambool night and dining scene and honestly, we sometimes wonder if we’d even live here if it hadn’t opened its doors. We’ve both had stints dishing out pizzas there, played in table tennis comps in the cellar, cried our eyes out in booths while girlfriends told us they were pregnant, drunk our weight in beers and danced our hearts out in the courtyard. We’ve celebrated, commiserated, eaten, drunk and generally lived a lot of life within those walls. This place has a heartbeat, and our job has been to find a way to communicate that visually.
Dave is a dream client. His vision is clear, but he’s always open to interpretation, which has given us plenty of room to play over the years. The resulting identity is many things: irreverent, inclusive, tongue-in-cheek and a bit odd; reminiscent of the feeling you get and the experience you might have when walking through that heavy front door.
The Dart and Marlin had the hard part sorted, it already had soul. We just had to bottle what was already happening inside and give it a visual language of its own. We think we did it justice. But really, the proof is in the pudding — or the pizza. You know where to find us. We’ll see you at the bar.
Secrets
Sinéad once accidentally racked up a $300 bill at the Dart because she generously ordered friend after friend after friend spicy margs in the excitement of discovering spicy margs.

Kind words
Sinéad has played a key part in the success of The Dart and Marlin. Her work has been instrumental in bringing our brand to life. We couldn’t have hoped to have worked with a more talented and genuinely wonderful human being.
